Homestead & far south Miami-Dade · Metal roofing

Roofs built to stand up to the next big storm.

After Hurricane Andrew, South Dade rewrote the book on roofing. We build to that standard — metal roofs rated to 175 mph wind, installed to Miami-Dade HVHZ code, priced for homes, ranches, and the farms of the Redland.

South Dade's metal roofers

The Everglades edge is hard on roofs. We build for it.

Out here, a roof earns its keep. Hurricane season, relentless sun off the Glades, salt on the wind, and afternoon storms that roll in off the wetlands — Homestead, Florida City, and the Redland ask more of a roof than almost anywhere in the country. That's why metal makes sense here, and why we install nothing we wouldn't put on our own home.

We replace the tired roofs on post-Andrew subdivision homes, re-roof ranch houses on big lots, and put durable metal over barns, nurseries, and farm outbuildings across the agricultural Redland. Every job is built to current Miami-Dade HVHZ code, documented properly, and quoted in plain numbers — so you know exactly what you're paying for.

Good questions

What South Dade homeowners ask us.

Can a metal roof really handle a Category 5?

A properly installed metal roof is one of the most wind-resistant systems you can put on a home. We install to Miami-Dade HVHZ standards with components rated for high-velocity hurricane zones — that means tested fastening, uplift resistance, and approved underlayment, the same standards that exist because of what Andrew did to South Dade in 1992.

I have a big lot or a ranch home in the Redland. Do you do those?

Absolutely — large-lot homes, ranch houses, and agricultural structures are a big part of what we do out here. We re-roof sprawling single-story homes and install durable metal over barns, nurseries, and farm outbuildings across the Redland and Homestead's agricultural areas.

Is a metal roof worth it over shingle in South Florida?

For most homes down here, yes. Metal costs more up front but lasts far longer in our sun, salt, and storm exposure, resists wind uplift better, and reflects heat to help with cooling bills. Over the life of the roof it's usually the better value — and we'll give you honest numbers so you can decide.

Do you handle the permits and inspections?

Yes. We pull all required Miami-Dade permits and schedule the inspections. Roofing in the HVHZ has strict requirements and Notice of Acceptance (NOA) documentation — we handle that paperwork so you don't have to deal with the county.

How fast can you come out for a leak?

Fast. We answer the phone, triage active leaks right away, and dispatch for emergencies. If a storm just came through, call (305) 767-7681 and we'll get you on the schedule.
